Lenme Invest Flow

What is Lenme?

Lenme is a peer-to-peer lending app that helps people get quick, small loans from everyday investors. As the Product Designer for the borrower side, I designed the full journey—from signup and loan request to receiving offers and making repayments—working closely with the PM and engineers to make the process clear, fast, and trustworthy.

Role & Project Context

My role

End-to-end product designer across research → UX → UI

User Research UX Design Wireframing Prototyping UI Design Iterations
  • Research → Decisions

Qual/quant insights informed the “two fields and go” approach, reducing cognitive load and time-to-request.

  • Rapid UX → UI loops

Wireframes → interactive prototypes → visual refinement; short iteration cycles aligned with product goals.

Project context

Build a peer-to-peer lending model that disrupts traditional lending

Goal
Launch a simple, trustworthy P2P flow for small and quick personal loans.
Approach
Borrower-first borrowing flow focused on speed and clarity:
Tap 1 · Enter amount Tap 2 · Choose duration Tap 3 · Submit request
Single-screen request with just two fields (Amount + Duration) to minimize cognitive load.

Background & Problem Statement

1 · The Problem in Traditional Lending

Before Lenme, small private investors had very limited access to the lending market

  • High Barriers

Traditional lending required heavy capital, strict regulatory compliance, and complicated underwriting processes.

  • Limited Access

Retail investors couldn't easily fund personal loans unless they went through large financial institutions.

  • Lack of Transparency

Even on peer-to-peer platforms, investor visibility into borrower financials was often low, making investments feel risky.

2 · The Opportunity

Borrowers and investors needed a simple, trustworthy bridge for small, quick loans

  • Borrowers

Needed fast, small, personal loans—often outside traditional banks.

  • Investors

Sought alternative assets with higher potential returns than savings accounts or traditional stocks.

Bottom line: Borrowers need fast, small personal loans and investors seek higher-yield alternatives—but the market lacked a seamless, transparent connection.

Lenme’s Solution for Investors

Lenme created a mobile-first platform that:

  • 🏦 Allows individual investors to fund loans directly through an app
  • 📊 Provides clear borrower profiles (Lenme Score, DTI, past behavior)
  • ⚡ Enables fast decision-making (discover, assess, offer — all in minutes)
  • 🔄 Simplifies portfolio tracking and repayment management

4. Submit Offer: Making Action Effortless

After browsing, filtering, and analyzing — everything comes down to this moment.

The offer flow was designed to feel:

  • ✅ Effortless
  • ✅ Confident
  • ✅ Rewarding

To achieve this, I created a Submit Offer Modal that reduces friction and builds trust:

Minimal fields Only what’s essential
Smart defaults Faster decision-making
Instant feedback Clarity and confidence at the final step

5. Managing Pending Investments: Full Control at Every Stage

Investing doesn’t end at “Submit” — it’s the start of a dynamic negotiation.

To keep this journey smooth and transparent, I designed the Pending Offers Management System, enabling investors to:

📊 Track

Status of all submitted offers in real time

🔄 Manage

Pending negotiations with clarity

Act quickly

When opportunities shift

This gave investors confidence and control at every stage of the investment process.

Loan Monitoring

Track loan states at a glance.

Pending Loans

Loans that are waiting for money from investors. They have passed the checks, but funding isn’t finished yet.

Current Loans

Loans that are already funded and active. Borrowers are paying them back bit by bit, and investors are earning interest.

Completed Loans

Loans that are fully paid back. The borrower returned all the money, and investors got their money plus interest.

Corrections

Small fixes or updates made to loan details, to make sure all information stays correct and clear.

Default Loans

Loans where the borrower didn’t make the required payments. These are higher risk, and Lenme may try to collect the money or take other actions.

Full Loan Transparency: Every Dollar Accounted For

Our Loan Details View was built to give investors complete clarity:

  • Loan Amount + Interest: Clear breakdown of principal vs. profit.
  • Fee Transparency: Exact share of platform or government fees — no hidden costs.
  • Total Payback: Reinforces expected returns at a glance.
  • Repayment Schedule: Month-by-month timeline to plan cash flows with confidence.

✅ Every dollar is visible, every outcome predictable.
